Gravel Bike Tour, Day 4 - Brownwood to Goldthwaite

Day four, winds picking up from the south and our route today is south and east. Plenty of headwind as we make our way from Brownwood south to the Colorado River Valley.

Just over 50 miles of riding with a picnic lunch stop at the Regency Bridge overlooking the Colorado River. The Regency Bridge is a very historic one-lane suspension bridge spanning over the Colorado River between Mills and San Saba Counties.

Riding down into the Colorado River Valley the gravel roads have more crushed granite and sand.

Bluebonnets were popping up along the road more often as we rode further south.

Nanette and Susan - miles of smiles :)

Heather enjoying the view from the Regency Bridge.

Lunchtime at the Regency Bridge - PB&J sandwiches with cold soda!!!

Ronnie riding back across the Regency Bridge - onward to Goldthwaite.

Closing shot - my Jones bike overlooking the Colorado River.
