El Yunque National Forest

Our cruise finished on a Sunday morning at 8 a.m. with our flight back to Houston leaving at 6 p.m. So we booked a bus tour to the El Yunque National Forest - a rain forest.

The rock in the mountains are being engulfed by the dense vegetation of the rain forest.

Our bus tour took us into the rain forest up to the Yokahu Tower and Juan Diego Falls.

Yokahu Tower - offering a nice view out to the Puerto Rico coast.

View from the top of the tower.

Jared and Kaitlyn at Juan Diego Falls.

Plenty of flowing water in the rain forest.

Another view of the same river...

Lush and diverse...

Parting shot...
